Abby's Baptism Day

8 is a special birthday because you get baptized.

This time it was Abby getting baptized.

Initially we were going to wait until my (Heather's) family was up in August to do it.  That way grandma and grandpa, the aunts, uncles, and cousins could all be here.  Then we found out that her friend Jake's grandparents were going to be up here after she turned 8 and they could get baptized together.  They are like 2 peas in a pod at times and she was pretty excited about that, so we started talking about that.

Then we got an invitation from Grandma Nelle to go to Martin's Cove and be baptized in the river there.  This would be a wonderful experience and there is family history with the Martin Handcart Company, so that would make it fun too.  However, the expense of getting us all down there is too much for this year.   So we decided to just do it here with Jake.
