This is what the sun does

The Sun finally came out this last week.  We've had a cold winter with more snow than normal, and it has been colder than normal.  This last week the sun came out all week long and it was BUEATIFUL.  The kids wore shorts to school.  Abby's class was having swimming lessons, so they were theoretically giving up their afternoon recess.  Well, with the sun out, her teacher could not justify keeping them inside all afternoon.  So they went out and played.  She claimed it was science, seeing the reaction of the students and the sun. 

It really became a science experiment.  Abby would slide down the slide, laying down, and her hair would go crazy with static electricity.  Everyone else tried to get their hair to do it, but nobody could.  Even the teachers that were outside were amazed at how well Abby's hair stood out and tried to get their hair to do the same.  No one was successful. The students also thought it was cool that when they touched her hair they got shocked.

Unfortunately, I was not there to see it for myself, but the good teachers took pictures for me.
